About the AWS Investment
Amazon's data center investment in Katrineholm is part of a broader European expansion strategy. The project involves constructing state-of-the-art server facilities that will serve cloud computing needs across the region.
The construction phase alone requires a large workforce of specialized builders, electricians, engineers, and project managers. Following construction, the facility will employ permanent IT staff for ongoing operations and maintenance.

Katrineholm is strategically located in central Sweden, approximately 1.5 hours from Stockholm by train. The town offers excellent transport connections via both rail and road, making it easy for workers to commute or travel home on weekends.
